Introduction

Dr. Guzel received his bachelor degree in Computer Engineering at Baskent University in 2004. After the graduation, he started to work as a software engineer at Havelsan (Turkey) software and systems company, having business presence in the defense and IT sectors, until 2006, after which he started work in the Computer Engineering Department of Ankara University as a research assistant, and completed his Masters Degree at the same department in 2008. He finally completed his Ph.D. at the School of Mechanical and Systems Engineering Robotics and Mechatronics) at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Since 2014, he has been working as an Assistant Professor in Ankara University. His main fields of work are vision based robot navigation,swarm robotics, computer vision, AI in robotics and Deep Learning.

Vision based Robot Navigation with Swarm Intelligence Algorithms

Addressed a new framework that proposes a decentralized strategy for collective behaviours of multi-agent systems.

LiverVision

LiverVison requires only few minutes to segment liver from CT images, provide accurate volume information and 3D display. Quick diagnosis and pre-surgery operation planning can be achieved either by surgeon, radiographers, radiologist or ordinary medical staff.

Urban Explorer

This project proposed a new framework for image stitching , object recognition and text recognition problems for street view images.
